Personal Data Collected
LIQAVO collects the following personal data in order to provide its services. Data you provide at registration: first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number (in E.164 format), date of birth, gender and an optional profile photo. Data you provide for invoicing and refunds: invoicing information (full name or company title, Turkish ID or tax number, and address for e-archive invoices) and refund IBAN. The refund IBAN is stored in our system in encrypted form and is used only when a refund payment is required. Additional data collected for the transfer service (LIQAVO Drive): passenger identity information (full name, Turkish ID or passport number), contact phone, pickup and dropoff location data. Passenger identity information and phone numbers are kept in the database in encrypted form. Automatically collected data: IP address, device information (model, operating system, app version), language preference, reservation history, cancellation and expired-reservation patterns (for rate-limit and abuse protection), sign-in and session logs. For venue reservations, your phone number is stored in encrypted form in the database even before it is shared with the venue partner.
Purposes of Processing
The personal data collected is processed for the following purposes: - Creating your membership account, managing the account and performing identity verification, - Receiving and confirming venue, event and transfer reservations and forwarding them to the relevant venue or transfer company, - Tracking payment notifications (IBAN bank transfers) and handling refund processes, - Issuing e-archive invoices and fulfilling statutory accounting obligations, - Responding to customer support requests and managing complaint processes, - Ensuring the security of the App and preventing misuse, fraudulent reservations and abuse (rate-limit, cooldown and strike mechanisms), - Enforcing the 18+ age requirement, - Sending campaign, new venue and event notifications to users who have given explicit consent, - Fulfilling legal obligations and responding to requests from authorities. You may opt out of campaign notifications at any time from the in-app account settings.
Transfer of Personal Data
LIQAVO only shares your personal data with parties strictly necessary for the provision of the service, and only to the extent required. Your personal data is never sold to third parties under any circumstances. Venue partners: When you make a venue reservation, your first and last name, party size, reservation date and time, any note, payment status and invoice information are shared with the relevant venue partner for the purpose of fulfilling the reservation. Transfer companies (LIQAVO Drive): For transfer reservations the passenger's full name, phone number, pickup and dropoff location data are forwarded to the relevant transfer company and the assigned driver. This data is mandatory for the transfer to be performed. Hotel partners (coupon system): Our hotel partners may provide their customers with promotional or referral codes. When you use these codes on a LIQAVO venue reservation, the identity of the person using the code is NOT DISCLOSED to the hotel. The hotel partner only sees anonymous aggregate statistics (e.g. total number of uses of the code, total commission earned). Information about which customer used the code, when, or at which venue is not shared with the hotel. Payment process: LIQAVO does not use any third-party payment service provider; settlement occurs by IBAN bank transfer directly between the customer and the venue. Refund payments are also sent by the venue, by bank transfer, to the refund IBAN the customer has previously defined. For this reason LIQAVO does not transfer any card or payment data to any payment processor. Third-party processors (Site): liqavo.com uses analytics and security services such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Vercel Analytics and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection). These services run only if you give consent for the analytics cookie category. They are not used in the mobile App. Legal authorities: Where required by law, court order or by request of an authorised administrative body, transfers may be made within the limits of and to the extent required by the legislation.
IP Address and Device Information
LIQAVO processes users' IP addresses, device information and app session logs in order to ensure system security, diagnose error and abuse events, and detect attempts of misuse (such as a high volume of cancellations, unpaid expired reservations, automated bot traffic etc.). This data may also generally be used for user identification, geographic distribution analysis and measuring service quality. IP addresses are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Processing of Payment and IBAN Information
LIQAVO does not collect, process or store any card information; no card or payment data passes through LIQAVO systems. All settlement takes place by IBAN bank transfer, directly between the customer and the venue partner. For reservations that require a deposit, the venue's IBAN and account holder information is shown to you inside the App. You carry out the transfer through your own banking channel and mark it as "Payment Sent" in the App. Your reservation is confirmed once the venue partner verifies that the transfer has reached their account; if the venue does not confirm or the payment does not take place within 30 minutes, the reservation is automatically expired. For refunds, users define a refund IBAN and account holder name in the account settings. This information is stored in encrypted form in the database and is only transmitted as a snapshot to the venue partner when a refund needs to be sent. The refund IBAN is not used for marketing or any other purpose. Transaction records that the bank transfer leaves on the banking channel are processed by banks within their own regulatory framework; LIQAVO has no control over or access to those records.
Exceptional Cases
In the limited cases listed below, LIQAVO may disclose information about users outside the scope of this Privacy Policy: - To comply with obligations imposed by law, decree, regulation or other authorised legal provisions, - To fulfil and enforce the obligations under contracts entered into with users, - To respond to investigations or inquiries duly carried out by authorised administrative or judicial bodies, - Where disclosure of information is necessary to protect the rights and safety of users or third parties.
Data Retention Periods
LIQAVO retains your personal data only for as long as the purpose of processing requires, or for as long as legal obligations require. - Account data: kept for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, data not subject to a statutory retention obligation is permanently deleted or anonymised in our systems within no later than 30 days. - Reservation records: pursuant to the Turkish Tax Procedure Law and the Turkish Commercial Code, records relating to payments and invoices are retained for 10 years. - Correspondence and support: complaint and support correspondence is retained for 3 years from the closure of the request. - Encrypted data (refund IBAN, passenger identity, phone): deleted once the relevant service is closed or the account is deleted, upon expiry of the applicable statutory retention period. - Log, IP and session records: retained for security purposes for no longer than 2 years.
Your Rights (Article 11 of the KVKK)
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, you have the following rights: - To learn whether your personal data is processed, - If it has been processed, to request information about it, - To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in line with that purpose, - To know the third parties to whom your data has been transferred, in Turkey or abroad, - To request correction if your data has been processed incompletely or incorrectly, - To request deletion or destruction of your data, - To request that correction, deletion or destruction be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred, - To object to a result arising against you from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems, - To claim compensation if you suffer loss as a result of the unlawful processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights you may file a written request to legal@liqavo.com or use the in-app support channel. Your requests will be concluded within no later than 30 days.
Age Limit and Children's Privacy
LIQAVO is not available to users under the age of 18. The date of birth is collected as a mandatory field during onboarding (registration), and applications by individuals under 18 are automatically rejected by the system. If it is detected that a child under 18 has created an account by providing misleading information, the relevant account is immediately closed and the personal data belonging to the account is deleted, subject to applicable statutory retention obligations. Changes to this Policy
LIQAVO reserves the right to unilaterally update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be communicated to users through in-app notifications or e-mail. The effective date of the policy is always indicated in the "Last updated" field at the top of this page. Your continued use of the service after publication of the updated policy means that you accept the current policy.
